Hello everyone,
At Premium Tattoo Artistry, we believe that clear communication and proper planning are key to a successful tattoo experience. Here’s a guide on how and when to request a free consultation to ensure everything goes smoothly.
When to Request a Consultation:
Consultations are necessary when you are inquiring about a new tattoo that has not been previously discussed. This initial meeting helps us understand your vision and ensures we are on the same page before moving forward.
Consultations are NOT required for:
Follow-up appointments (e.g., second or third sittings).
Minor touch-ups or adjustments to existing tattoos.
If you’re unsure whether you need a consultation, feel free to ask. However, please do not attempt to book a tattoo appointment online or in any other way without first speaking to and getting approval from the artist.
The Consultation Process:
Step 1: Consultation
Initial Contact: Reach out to us with your tattoo idea. Provide as much detail as possible, including reference images if available.
Consultation Type: Based on the information you provide, we will decide whether an in-person consultation is necessary or if a phone or online consultation will suffice. Some tattoos are straightforward enough to be discussed remotely.
Step 2: Book an Appointment
Once the consultation is complete and we have a clear understanding of your design, you can proceed to book an appointment.
Deposit Policy:
To secure your appointment, a deposit is required. Here are the details:
Deposit Amount: Clients should be prepared to leave a $100 or $200 deposit, depending on the amount of planning and preparation required before their first appointment.
Non-Refundable: Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. This policy ensures that both the client and the artist are committed to the appointment.
Application of Deposit: The deposit will be applied to the final sitting of your tattoo.
Artwork and Photos: The deposit does not cover the commission of any artwork. I am not obligated to release the artwork, photos, or show the artwork before the first day of your tattoo appointment. You will see your tattoo design on the day of your appointment.
Rescheduling and Cancellations: If important details are missed or last-minute changes are required, it may result in rescheduling the appointment. In such cases, the client risks losing the deposit and will need to pay a new deposit to schedule another appointment.
Important Considerations:
Be Specific and Clear: If you opt for a remote consultation, it is crucial to be very specific and clear about your expectations. Any last-minute changes or overlooked details can cause delays and may result in rescheduling the appointment.
Risk of Skipping In-Person Consultations: Skipping a face-to-face consultation can lead to unforeseen issues. If important details are missed, it may require additional preparation time, potentially causing delays and risking your deposit. In such cases, a new deposit will be required to reschedule the appointment.
Why Consultations Matter:
Proper consultations, whether in-person or remote, help create a positive and constructive relationship between you and the artist. This is crucial for an enjoyable and successful tattoo experience, from the initial discussion to the final healed product.
Thank you for understanding the importance of this process. We look forward to creating amazing tattoos together!
Best regards,
